Born and raised in the Sun City, Mia has been involved with the community from a young age. Her passion for volunteer work is reflected in the various organizations she has helped serve with since high school.
Mia graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UTEP and spent the beginning of her professional career working in behavioral health in Las Cruces, New Mexico. After a few years working with inpatient and outpatient healthcare, she moved back to El Paso to utilize her interpersonal and problem-solving skills in the business community with the El Paso Chamber.
As the Programs Coordinator, Mia works to create value for members of the El Paso Chamber and community businesses by engaging them in the various coaching resources that EPC has to offer, including @EPC Workshops, the Mentorship Network Program, and 4 committees (Small Business Advisory, Healthcare, Pride, and Education and Workforce) within the Chamber. Her work doesn’t stop there, as she also assists with the success of EPC and community events.
While serving the El Paso community through her work at EPC is her priority, in her free time, you can find Mia listening to music, reading a good book, or sipping a latte at a local coffee shop.
