Job Description:

This is a full-time on-site role for a Membership and Sales Manager at El Paso Chamber located in El Paso, TX. The Membership and Sales Manager will be responsible for day-to-day tasks associated with generating leads, managing sales, and providing exceptional customer service. The Membership and Sales Manager will also be responsible for sales management.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

· Identify prospective Chamber members and implement a monthly sale plan.

· Organize and implement a “target” sales priority list; “Close the Sale” on new memberships.

Develop a thorough understanding of the various Chamber membership levels and the benefits each provides a business.Achieve budgeted sales revenue and membership retention goals.Develop metrics with President & CEO to include sales, member visits, and calls.Assist in the development of member surveys and other research as needed to determine the source of member satisfaction and / or dissatisfaction.Maintain knowledge and active participation in Chamber goals, objectives, services, programs, events, and member benefits.Participate in various Chamber meetings, events and activities.Collaborate with President & CEO and finance team to strengthen member retention; track membership engagement.Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with Chamber members and volunteers.Assist in the collection of delayed renewals and requests for cancellation.Maximize the potential of membership database and ensure its accuracy of members.Manage Chamber Ambassador Program.Always represent the Chamber professionally and positively.Other duties as assigned.

 

Skill Requirements and Qualifications:

College-level education preferred (preferably a degree in business, management, communications or a related field); three to five years’ experience in sales, sales management or related field; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong customer orientation; general computer skills; must be organized, can work independently as well as in a team setting; must be willing to undergo a background check.
