The El Paso Chamber and Destination El Paso have launched new content on the Visit El Paso app targeted at enhancing the quality of life for El Paso’s military community. Users can now select a “Military” mode within the app, which allows users to view military-specific content in addition to the app’s existing general information. The update is part of the Chamber’s longer-term efforts to make El Paso a post of choice among the military.

“We created this feature to help our military community feel welcome in El Paso and to encourage them to take advantage of all that our region has to offer,” El Paso Chamber President and CEO David Jerome said. “We understand how valuable the military community is to the El Paso region, and we are excited to launch this new project.”

Within the military section of the app, users can find information on jobs, schools, and military discounts as well as general information on local restaurants, outdoor activities, sports, and more. Users can also browse events and opt-in to push notifications.

“Ft. Bliss, Holloman AFB and White Sands Missile Range are such an integral part of our economy, community and region.  We can’t think of a better way show support than by focusing on local and regional events and opportunities tailored to those that serve our country. We want them to know how much we stand behind them and how we are honored by their service, each and every day,” said Bryan Crowe, General Manager of Destination El Paso.

The Visit El Paso app is free and available to download for both iOS and Android devices. Go to the Visit El Paso website for more information.
