El Paso Chamber to Host “State of El Paso” Series
EL PASO, TEXAS – The El Paso Chamber (EPC) is pleased to announce its signature “State of El Paso” series. These “State of” events are annual gatherings featuring some of the most prominent leaders in El Paso government. This series gives Chamber members a unique and exclusive insight into the roles our policy makers play in enhancing the community.
The events will be held in person at the new Hotel Paso Del Norte, with a portion of ticket sales going towards the Chamber’s Future Fund that supports small businesses in El Paso. The State of the City, in partnership with Franklin Mountain Investments and with support from HNTB; State of the County; and State of Congress, with support from Microsoft, will take place across three dates during August and September of 2021.
Attendees will hear addresses from Congresswoman Veronica Escobar (August 17), Mayor Oscar Leeser (August 26), and County Judge Ricardo Samaniego (September 16). For these elected leaders, the “State of” events also serve an important role, as they allow speakers to celebrate accomplishments and detail their agenda for the coming year.
“We are excited to host our annual ‘State of’ events in person this year,” said David Jerome, CEO & President of the El Paso Chamber. “Especially after the tribulations our city and world have faced over the last year, it’s important that our community be brought together to better understand where we are—on a local, regional, and national level.” Arlene Carroll, Senior Vice President, Commercial Banking Manager at WestStar Bank, and Chairwoman of EPC’s Board added, “We at the Chamber are dedicated to ensuring that our ‘State of’ events support our local community, which is why we are excited for the opportunity to dedicate a portion of ticket sales to the Future Fund to give back to the small businesses that play an integral role in the El Paso region.”
The Chamber believes these events are critical forums for the exchange of ideas and celebration of accomplishments that define the community’s trajectory forward. EPC looks forward to hosting these events and reuniting as a community to better understand our city’s present and future.
