Military Growth Area
City of El Paso
The El Paso Chamber seeks to increase local employment and economic activity associated with the regional military complex anchored by Fort Bliss, Texas that includes White Sands Missile Range and Holloman Air Force Base. American business and the United States (US) military have a closely entwined relationship. Business drives productivity, wealth creation, and innovation; the taxes from business are used to fund public investments in the military; the military creates an increased demand for workers, advances in technology, and production. Together, business and the military form a virtuous circle.
Aerospace and Defense
City of El Paso
The El Paso Chamber is focused on how we rebuild and reimagine our economy. COVID-19 created an unprecedented economic crisis. Our community and businesses are in the process of rebuilding and reimagining what is next. One clear opportunity is merging the business acumen of the El Paso Chamber, with the research capabilities of the University of Texas at El Paso to grow manufacturing, especially in the areas of additive, aerospace and defense manufacturing. The partnership of the El Paso Chamber, the W.M. Keck Center for 3D Innovation, and the Aerospace Center at UTEP, the City of El Paso, and Workforce Solutions Borderplex, has created powerful synergies for our region and beyond. This partnership operates under the banner of El Paso Makes.
